A graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, James Wood began his career in the Boston suburbs with a real estate development and construction management firm recording sales in excess of $25,000,000. While successfully managing projects throughout the northeast, he capitalized on contacts obtained through his real estate career and joined Boston’s Celadon Security, Inc. in 2006. Focused on customer service with Celadon, Mr. Wood successfully developed long-term client relationships utilizing his entrepreneurial approach to the security industry and quickly rose to Vice President of the multimillion dollar company. As Vice President of Celadon, not a single account was lost due to poor service.
Following the sale of Celadon to a national company, James Wood joined Jason Steiner at Hunter Protective Services, Inc. as a 50% partner. He immediately focused on developing HPS using the same customer service skills that made him so successful earlier in his career.
“To me it is very simple; I answer the phone when a client calls – day or night. That should be standard practice for anyone wanting to be successful in any business.”
In 2013, his presence in the security industry was recognized by the New England Real Estate Journal when his professional profile was featured in the February issue.
Together, James Wood and Jason Steiner have grown HPS into a firm which now employs several hundred officers at more than 75 sites in the greater Boston area. As a successful partner at HPS, Mr. Wood is most proud that many loyal clients from Celadon Security still utilize his services to this day at HPS.
Wood resides on the North Shore with his wife Lynn and their four children.
